Join us at the library for a creative, hands-on program where teens can design and pour their own custom scented candles! Choose from a variety of fragrances, mix your favorite scents, and personalize your candle with colors and labels to make it yours. All supplies are provided. Come relax, get creative, and leave with a candle you made yourself!

Have you ever wanted to try sensory bins at home, but are intimidated by the set up or mess? Join Southwest's children's staff for an hour of outdoor exploratory play and fun, then let us clean up! Sensory bins are a great way to expose your child to different textures, engage their senses, increase socialization with peers, and improve fine motor skills. This program is geared towards children ages 2 . Please note that this program will have a mix of taste-safe activities and bins with small filler items such as rice, pasta, etc. Questions? Or are they just learning phonics sounds and need more practice to build blending skills? Then this program is for them! Schedule a 20-minute session for your child with Ms. Chloe to work together with your child on reading and blending practice. You’re welcome to bring your own book or I’ll pull some books that will work for their range.
