DESCRIPTION:With guidance from the local non-profit group\, Connecting wi
 th Threads\, children ages 9 to 12 will learn how to make -- and to pers
 onalize -- a quilted block. The pieces will be assembled for exhibition 
 during a presentation with local author and long-time quilter\, Frances 
 O'Roark Dowell\, the following Saturday (April 25\, from 3:00 to 4:00) a
 t Southwest Regional. Each participant will also receive an additional s
 ewing kit with everything needed to make a quilted block at home.\n\n*Re
