About the event

Come “sink your hook in” at Lake Michie as DPR Outdoor Recreation and Education teaches participants the basics of fishing. As the Crappie and Largemouth Bass keep biting, feel free to stay longer and see what you can catch! DPR Outdoor Recreation will provide the equipment and bait, though you may bring your own pole if you like. Participants need to wear weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes. Youth under 16 must be accompanied by a registered adult. Preregistration is required for all participants.

Evening Family Storytime

Join us for an evening storytime filled with stories, songs, dancing, and coloring! All ages are welcome. All children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by an adult. This storytime is presented by all of the Children's librarians at Main on a rotating basis.
