Terms of Service
Plain terms for a free, community-run events board. The short version: we point you to events other people run — always confirm the details with the original source before you go.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using Triangle Events Hub (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. What the Service is
The Service is a free, non-commercial directory that aggregates event listings published by parks, libraries, municipalities, and community organizations across the Triangle region of North Carolina. We are an independent aggregator. We are not the organizer, host, or sponsor of any listed event, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by the sources we link to unless we explicitly say so.
3. Accuracy of event information
Event details are collected automatically from third-party sources and may be incomplete, out of date, rescheduled, or cancelled without our knowledge. Always confirm the details — date, time, location, cost, and registration — with the official source before relying on them or traveling to an event. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of any listing.
4. Third-party sites and registration
Listings link back to their original sources, and some events handle registration or ticketing through third-party platforms (such as Eventbrite). We do not operate those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability, fees, refunds, or practices. Any dealings you have with them are solely between you and them.
5. Intellectual property and attribution
Event information belongs to its respective sources and organizers. We display it with attribution and a link back to the origin so you can reach the official listing. The Service’s own design, layout, and original text are ours and may not be copied without permission.
6. Content removal and copyright
If you are a source, venue, or rights holder and would like a listing or your content removed or corrected, email hello@triangleeventshub.com with the details and we will address good-faith requests promptly.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- scrape, harvest, or bulk-download the Service’s data through automated means;
- disrupt, overload, or interfere with the Service;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service;
- misuse other users’ information; or
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
8. Accounts
If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Let us know promptly of any unauthorized use. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any listing is accurate or current.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Triangle Events Hub and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising out of your use of (or inability to use) the Service or your reliance on any listing — including a missed, cancelled, or misdescribed event. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use the Service, which is zero.
11. Indemnification
You agree to hold Triangle Events Hub and its operators harmless from any claims or demands arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina.
13. Changes to these terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the “last updated” date below. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
