About the event

Join genealogy expert Debra Taylor Gonzalez-Garcia for an attention-grabbing workshop that introduces Durham residents to the ways death information can reveal hidden history. We'll discuss different death records (obituaries, death certificates, burial certificates). Attendees are not required to bring any examples, but it is encouraged.

This event is co-sponsored by the City of Durham Community Partnerships & Engagement and the North Carolina Collection at the Durham County Library.

Where can I park when the Main Library parking lot is full?
