About the event

This American Red Cross program is designed for beginners and intermediate-level swimmers. Students will be grouped according to skill level on the first day of class. Topics of instruction include basic aquatic skills, swimming strokes, personal water safety skills, and basic water rescue. If you want to become a better swimmer, this program will help you reach this goal. There are no pre-requisites for this course.

Mill Open House

Discover Historic Yates Mill during this free, drop-in program. The doors to the mill will be open, and historic interpreters will be available to talk about the history and inner workings of the mill and to answer questions. For the Love of Longleaf

Not able to attend our Longleaf Ramble event yesterday? You can still enjoy a relaxing wagon ride to our Longleaf forest to walk among our beautiful Longleaf Pines! Learn about their special history to the area and the ecology of the Longleaf forest ecosystem, including the importance of prescribed fire. Plus, it's Grandparents Day, so bring them out for some fun! We will be disembarking from the wagon, so please wear closed toe shoes. For ages 8 and up.
