***MAIN LIBRARY REGISTRATION IS CLOSED*** Students should take placement test with the Durham Literacy Center before attending classes. Classes will start on Monday, February 9 with the semester ending on Wednesday, May 13. Classes will be held on Monday/Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. in Conference Room #3214 at Main Library. If you would like more information about the registration process or have questions, please email ESOL@durhamliteracy.org or call the ESOL Program by phone at (919) 489-8383, ext. 25.

Mulch Yard Open to Public

The City’s General Services Department is opening its mulch yard to the public beginning April 18, with operating hours from 8 a.m. to noon. The yard will offer wood chips produced by our Urban Forestry team - a natural blend of hardwood and softwood chips ideal for landscaping and gardening projects.
