About the event

The North Regional Children’s team will be on a program break from Friday, May 1 through Saturday, May 30, 2026. During this time, there will be no regular storytimes or elementary afterschool programs as staff prepare for Summer Reading. However, a few special events will still take place—be sure to check them out!

Ready, Set, Baby (English) — Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 10a.m. Ready, Set, Baby (Spanish) — Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 10a.m. Homeschool Learning Lab- Thursdays at 10a.m. Read to Me (Pet Partners Reading Dog Program) — Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 10a.m. Kid's Craft: Patriotic Pinwheels — Saturday, May 24, 2026, at 10a.m. Little Stars: Shining Bright at Baby Prom! — Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 9:30a.m.

Programs resume on Monday, June 1, 2026.

Mulch Yard Open to Public

The City’s General Services Department is opening its mulch yard to the public beginning April 18, with operating hours from 8 a.m. to noon. The yard will offer wood chips produced by our Urban Forestry team - a natural blend of hardwood and softwood chips ideal for landscaping and gardening projects.
