About the event

A Matter of Balance is an award-winning program designed to reduce the fear of falling and increase activity levels among older adults. This 8-class series will show participants exercises to help improve balance and prevent the likelihood of future falls. This event is co-sponsored by Duke Trauma Center and the Durham Center for Senior Life.

Registration is required. Registering for a session will register you for all sessions.

Mulch Yard Open to Public

The City’s General Services Department is opening its mulch yard to the public beginning April 18, with operating hours from 8 a.m. to noon. The yard will offer wood chips produced by our Urban Forestry team - a natural blend of hardwood and softwood chips ideal for landscaping and gardening projects.
