Bad Art Club: Personalized Stamp-Making

About the event

Create a personal bookish or stationary stamp! Use handheld tools to carve soft rubber or hard linoleum to create a functional, reusable stamp. In hour 1, we will discuss design and typography and design our stamps. In hour 2, we will carve our stamps and test them. In hour 3, we will ink our stamps and create prints on various paper materials such as cards and envelopes. Stamp ideas include: Address / Return address Ex Libris / From the Library of… From the Kitchen of… Signature or Initial Monograms Made By / Crafted By "Thank You" / Greeting Stamps Each participant will leave with stamped cards, envelopes, and papers. Bring your own linoleum / rubber and carving tools or use ours!
