About the event

Spend the day celebrating the strawberry season! In this program, we will explore the relationship between people and the plants around them; this session will focus on strawberries. We will sample some yummy strawberry recipes while learning about the importance of ethnobotany and rich cultural history of strawberries both in North America and Europe. Then we will do a nature journaling exercise to reflect on the upcoming Strawberry Moon. Finally, we will practice sustainable harvesting at the Demo Garden and Food Forest so you can take home berries and a simple recipe. You are guaranteed to have a berry wonderful time!
